Course Description
The course is for learners with some previous yoga experience who like a faster paced and more demanding class.
It’s a friendly class beginning with warm ups and moving into linked classic yoga poses and sequences to stretch, strengthen and open the body. We will pay attention to alignment to keep the body safe. We end the session with a brief relaxation.
Yoga improves posture and promotes easier movement. You also build more self-knowledge as you work with your body. Yoga keeps the spine flexible, the hips open, and the muscles long and strong. It also helps to calm and de-stress the mind. Hatha Yoga is taught in this class.
Postures can be modified to suit individual needs. Learners can always ask the tutor if they have any concerns. If necessary, please speak to your GP before embarking on a new exercise programme. It is advisable that anyone with serious injuries consults their GP or physiotherapist.
