Course Description
This is the first module of a pre-intermediate course designed for learners with a basic understanding of Italian (A1 level) who wish to deepen their knowledge and practical skills in communication. It combines traditional and technology-based teaching to enhance language acquisition and cultural immersion. Students will learn how to describe and buy clothes, share memories from the past, and describe a person’s appearance and character.
Aims and Objectives
This first module focuses on developing confidence in using Italian in real-life scenarios, through engaging activities such as role-playing shopping experiences, recounting personal stories, and characterizing friends and family. The lessons include vocabulary-building activities, pronunciation and reading practice, grammar explanations with targeted exercises, as well as cultural insights into cultural aspects relevant to the topics covered. By the end of this module, students will be able to navigate shopping situations, discuss past events and describe individuals with confidence, which will be a solid foundation for further learning.
Progression – what next?
By the end of this module, learners will be prepared to advance their Italian studies at the A2 level by enrolling in the second module of the Pre-intermediate course.
