A linguist by passion, training and trade, she has spent her life across Italy, China and the UK working as a language teacher, translator and interpreter. Antonietta holds an integrated BA+MA in Translation and conference interpreting with Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese, and is a certified teacher of Italian as an additional language

Course Description
This course is for learners with previous knowledge of Italian and an interest in exploring a culture known for its art, literature, music, design, and gastronomy.
Built on a mix of traditional and technology-based teaching, the course provides an opportunity to practice communication in real-life situations.
Students learn how to greet others & introduce themselves, talk about languages & countries, place orders at restaurants & cafés, book hotel rooms, discuss leisure activities.
Aims and Objectives
This course aims at enabling learners to use Italian to exchange information and communicate ideas at a pre elementary level. To this end, students will be equipped with listening, speaking, reading and writing skills , as well as some knowledge of Italian culture. By the end of the ten weeks, learners have the necessary tools to survive in everyday situations like shopping for food, discussing daily routines and describing family.

By the end of this course, learners will be equipped to continue studying Italian at Elementary level.
How progress and success will be recorded
The course is based on closely guiding and supporting students, both in class and at home, to help them make the most of their learning. There are no tests or exams: oral feedback is provided in lessons, and students wishing to submit their homework will be offered written feedback as well.
