Holding a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET), she specializes in post-16 education, and has been teaching languages for thirteen years. In addition to her integrated BA+MA in Translation & conference interpreting, Antonietta holds an A-level proficiency in Latin and is currently pursuing further academic study in this field

Course Description
This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of the Latin language and the richness of Roman civilization. Designed for absolute beginners, it combines language acquisition with cultural exploration, offering an engaging experience that connects the ancient world to modern times. Students will learn basic Latin vocabulary and grammar, while also exploring key aspects of Roman life.
Aims and Objectives
This course aims at enabling learners to read and understand simple Latin sentences, focusing on foundational vocabulary and grammar; translate basic Latin texts into English; explore the cultural, social and historical aspects of Roman civilisation.

Learners completing this course will be well-prepared to continue to Latin Beginner 2, delving into more complex texts and advanced cultural themes.
How progress and success will be recorded
The course focuses on closely guiding and supporting students, both during lessons and at home, to help them maximize their learning experience. There are no formal tests or exams; instead, oral feedback is provided during lessons to support continuous improvement. Additionally, students who choose to submit homework will receive personalized written feedback, offering further guidance and support.
