Holding a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET), she specializes in post-16 education and has been teaching languages for fourteen years. Antonietta also holds an integrated BA+MA in Translation and Conference Interpreting with Italian, English and Mandarin Chinese

Course Description

This is the third module of a Lower intermediate course designed for learners with some understanding of Italian (A2/B1 level) who wish to deepen their knowledge and practical communication skills. It combines traditional and technology-based teaching to enhance language acquisition and cultural immersion. Students will further develop their ability to discuss celebrations, talk about historic events and exchange views on Italy’s most beautiful spots.

Aims and Objectives

This third module of the Lower intermediate course focuses on developing confidence in using Italian in real-life scenarios through engaging activities such as role-playing historic events, describing personal holiday preferences, and expressing opinions about celebrations. The lessons include vocabulary-building activities, pronunciation and reading practice, grammar explanations with targeted exercises, as well as insights into cultural aspects relevant to the topics covered.

Progression – what next? 

By the end of this module, learners will be prepared to advance their Italian studies at B2 level by enrolling in the first module of the Upper intermediate course.

How progress and success will be recorded

The Lower intermediate 3 module is based on closely guiding and supporting students, both in class and at home, to help them make the most of their learning. There are no tests or exams: oral feedback is provided in lessons, and students who wish to submit their homework will also receive written feedback.
